DUMBO Today

In 2006, the Dumbo Improvement District was launched by the public and private sector to help oversee the growth of the neighborhood. Today, DUMBO is home to many more than just artists; families, young professionals, offices, small businesses, restaurants and galleries are all part of the rich mosaic. The revitalization process has been a series of small steps; attracting a new small business, renovating an abandoned building, creating a new park, and they have collectively added up to this success story of renewal and another exciting chapter in DUMBO's compelling history. At the Dumbo Improvement District, we believe that the story’s not over, and that there’s more history to write. We aim to keep at it, one step at a time.
